For the last 20 years, EWL has been collecting a wide range of industry and eco-certifications. We believe in providing our customers with high quality natural products that are environmentally friendly too! These certifications speak to the core values that drive our day-to-day activities and decisions. Learn more about the organizations that have recognized us for our commitment to quality and high standards:
Leaping Bunny: First and foremost, we are a Leaping Bunny Certified company. Leaping Bunny is the leader in providing the best possible assurance that a product is free of animal testing, with requirements in place that go beyond the current laws. To be Leaping Bunny Certified, our organization takes a stance against animal testing at every step of development and production process. We do not want ties to anything involving animal testing in our supply chain, lab tests, or any other businesses we partner with.
Oregon Tilth Certified Organic (OTCO): One of our most sought-after certifications is our Certified Organic Certification. With this, we can provide and label qualifying products or ingredients as “Certified Organic”, as well as call ourselves a USDA Organic Certified facility. OTCO helps support businesses like us by raising the standards set for organic products and simultaneously raising awareness. We stand with OTCO and all that they are striving towards, working together to reshape the marketplace for organic.
Green America: Keeping sustainability top of mind is vital to our business. Being a Green America Certified Business shows this to our consumers. The Green America Seal is the authentic mark of trust for social and environmental responsibility and the nation’s leading non-profit organization working to build a greener economy. We follow their social and sustainability guidelines in how we run our operations, facilities, and other departments where we can implement these values. One way we showcase this value is by utilizing solar panels, which cover 80% of our electricity usage—including everything we manufacture!
Personal Care Products Council (PCPC): Unfortunately, the beauty industry doesn’t have as many guidelines as the food industry, making it easier for other companies to cut corners and costs at the expense of their consumers. We team up with the PCPC to stay current on all the latest scientific revelations as well as legislative, international, legal, and regulatory issues. We want our customers to trust us at every step of the way, and the only way we can truly be worthy of this trust is by doing our part in the larger community and soaking up every bit of new information we can get our hands on. The PCPC is the top of the line regarding our industry standards and is the leading national trade association representing cosmetics and personal care products.
American Chemical Society (ACS): To stay at the forefront of innovation, our lab and chemists are constantly learning new techniques and practicing inventive formulations. One way our lab stays on top of these feats is through being members of this society. The American Chemical Society is one of the world’s largest scientific organizations, with memberships in over 140 countries, and has been chartered by the U.S. Congress. In collaboration with the ACS, our lab strives to advance chemistry in all fields related to the beauty industry, focusing on skin and hair care science and natural, plant-based alternatives.
UPS Carbon Neutral: As a manufacturing company, we realize how much shipping is used and the extreme amount of fuel that is needed for shipments. Therefore, we try our best to counteract these emissions by offsetting our carbon footprint and many other efforts that put the environment first. As a part of the UPS Carbon Neutral program, we offset carbon emissions with every shipment we make to you. Our partnership with UPS means every package and every pallet shipped with them is shipped through the UPS Carbon Offset program.
Natural Products Association: We don’t take the word “natural” lightly at Essential, no matter when or where we use it in our messaging. To help showcase our team’s extreme focus on supply chain, and the extra steps we take while turning natural ingredients into natural products, we have joined forces with the Natural Products Association. The NPA is the nation’s largest and oldest non-profit organization dedicated to the natural products industry. As members of this association, we are doing our part to define the meaning of “natural” in skincare and bring awareness to its importance in our industry.
